La Plaza de Puente Alto se convirti\u00f3 en el punto de encuentro para conmemorar el D\u00eda Mundial del Accidente Cerebrovascular (ACV), el 29 de octubre. Una alta convocatoria tuvo la jornada que reuni\u00f3 a organizaciones p\u00fablicas y privadas del \u00e1mbito de la salud<\/strong>, junto a diversas fundaciones con un prop\u00f3sito com\u00fan: prevenir, aprender y actuar a tiempo frente a un ACV.<\/p>

El Hospital Militar de Santiago (HMS) fue parte activa de esta iniciativa<\/strong> enmarcada en el \u201cMes del ACV 2025\u201d, organizada por la Sociedad de Neurolog\u00eda, Psiquiatr\u00eda y Neurocirug\u00eda de Chile (Sonepsyn) y la Asociaci\u00f3n Chilena de Enfermedades Vasculares Encef\u00e1licas (ACEVE). Con su participaci\u00f3n, el HMS reafirm\u00f3 su compromiso con la promoci\u00f3n de la salud y la educaci\u00f3n de la comunidad.<\/p>

\u201cEl ACV es una urgencia m\u00e9dica que requiere atenci\u00f3n inmediata. En el Hospital Militar contamos con profesionales, medicamentos y la capacitaci\u00f3n necesaria para atender de forma oportuna y eficaz a quienes presenten s\u00edntomas\u201d, explic\u00f3 Marjorie Miranda Rivera<\/strong>, enfermera de la Unidad Neurol\u00f3gica Intermedia (UNI) del HMS, quien particip\u00f3 en la jornada preventiva.<\/p>

El equipo del hospital, integrado adem\u00e1s por las enfermeras Javiera Mu\u00f1oz y Jendire Leyton<\/strong>, realiz\u00f3 junto a otros centros de salud chequeos gratuitos de presi\u00f3n arterial y <\/strong>glicemia durante m\u00e1s de cuatro horas, acercando la prevenci\u00f3n a la ciudadan\u00eda.<\/p>

Por su parte, el doctor Rodrigo Guerrero, neur\u00f3logo y coordinador del Mes del ACV, destac\u00f3 la relevancia del trabajo conjunto entre instituciones<\/strong>: \u201cEl ataque cerebrovascular es una de las principales causas de muerte y discapacidad en nuestro pa\u00eds. Este mes ha sido una oportunidad valiosa para educar tanto al personal de salud como a la comunidad. Agradezco al Hospital Militar y a todas las entidades que se han sumado con entusiasmo a esta campa\u00f1a<\/strong> de concientizaci\u00f3n\u201d.<\/p>

Durante la jornada, los asistentes participaron en actividades educativas, din\u00e1micas interactivas y testimonios en vivo. Uno de los m\u00e1s significativos fue el del presentador de televisi\u00f3n y radio Leo Caprile, sobreviviente de un ACV<\/strong>, quien hizo un llamado a reconocer los signos de alarma y actuar con rapidez.<\/p>

\u201cSi nota p\u00e9rdida de simetr\u00eda facial, dificultad para hablar o mover un lado del cuerpo, debe acudir de inmediato a un servicio de urgencia<\/strong>. Hay una ventana de cuatro horas y media para evitar secuelas graves. Por eso, la detecci\u00f3n temprana puede salvar vidas\u201d, enfatiz\u00f3.<\/p>

Durante todo octubre, el HMS llev\u00f3 a cabo acciones preventivas y educativas sobre el ACV, tanto dentro del hospital como en terreno<\/strong>, reforzando la importancia de una atenci\u00f3n oportuna frente a emergencias m\u00e9dicas de este tipo.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
