Con controles gratuitos de presi\u00f3n arterial y glicemia<\/strong>, el Hospital Militar de Santiago (HMS) se hizo parte del Mes de la Prevenci\u00f3n del Ataque Cerebrovascular (ACV), acercando la educaci\u00f3n y el autocuidado a usuarios, pacientes y colaboradores.<\/p>

El operativo se desarroll\u00f3 en el hall central del hospital<\/strong>, donde equipos cl\u00ednicos entregaron recomendaciones para identificar factores de riesgo y as\u00ed reconocer las se\u00f1ales de alerta. La iniciativa tambi\u00e9n contempl\u00f3 el recorrido de una unidad m\u00f3vil por distintas \u00e1reas del hospital<\/strong>, facilitando el acceso de los colaboradores a estos chequeos preventivos.<\/p>

La detecci\u00f3n oportuna fue uno de los principales mensajes de la jornada. M\u00f3nica Canales Soto, Enfermera jefe de las unidades de Tratamiento Intermedio y Neurointermedio<\/strong>, enfatiz\u00f3 que \u201cconsultar antes de las tres horas, el grado de dependencia que el paciente puede tener despu\u00e9s disminuye considerablemente\u201d, lo que refuerza el llamado a pesquisar precozmente posibles s\u00edntomas.<\/p>

En ese sentido, la profesional destac\u00f3 que el HMS dispone de neur\u00f3logos las 24 horas del d\u00eda, los 7 d\u00edas de la semana, y tambi\u00e9n cuenta con los especialistas y medicamentos<\/strong> necesarios para realizar tromb\u00f3lisis cuando est\u00e1 indicada.<\/p>

\u00bfC\u00f3mo reconocer un ACV?<\/strong><\/p>

El neur\u00f3logo Ignaz Ibarra Reinecke, de la Unidad de Neurointermedio del HMS<\/strong>, estuvo presente en el operativo y explic\u00f3 a los asistentes que una ca\u00edda s\u00fabita de un lado de la cara, la dificultad para hablar o la p\u00e9rdida de fuerza en un lado del cuerpo son se\u00f1ales que requieren atenci\u00f3n inmediata.<\/p>

\u201cSi tienes alguno de esos s\u00edntomas, tienes que acudir inmediatamente al servicio de urgencias m\u00e1s cercano\u201d, advierte, recordando que el HMS cuenta con un equipo multidisciplinario preparado para atender estas emergencias durante todo el a\u00f1o.<\/p>

La importancia de acercar la prevenci\u00f3n a quienes trabajan en el hospital fue destacada por Janet Marileo Pinchulef, secretaria del HMS<\/strong>, quien valor\u00f3 la posibilidad de realizarse estos controles: \u201ces una forma de hacer un chequeo r\u00e1pido, saber c\u00f3mo estamos por lo menos en la presi\u00f3n arterial y c\u00f3mo estamos con los niveles de glucosa\u201d, asegur\u00f3.<\/p>

Con este operativo, el HMS reafirma su compromiso con la prevenci\u00f3n y el cuidado integral de las personas, promoviendo en el Mes del ACV, la consulta oportuna y el reconocimiento de los s\u00edntomas<\/strong>.
